We’re a small, welcoming long-arm quilting studio based in South Devon. We take your pieced quilt top and finish it , quilting the layers together with patterns and designs that bring your work to life.
Whether you’ve been quilting for years or you’ve just finished your very first top, we’d love to help you see it through to the end.
The Quilted Stable is open. We’re taking bookings for customer quilts now.
What makes us different
Most long-arm quilters work behind closed doors. You post your quilt, and it comes back finished. That’s fine and we offer that too but we think the best part of making something is being there when it all comes together.
At The Quilted Stable, you’re welcome to come to the studio, be part of the process, and watch your quilt take shape on the machine. Choose your pattern, see the first stitches go down, and be involved right to the end. It’s your quilt you should be there for the best bit.
This isn’t a class or a lesson. You don’t need any long-arm experience. You just need to want to be part of it.
Of course, if you’d rather post your quilt and let us get on with it, that works perfectly too. The same care goes into every quilt either way.
Stay on site
Visiting the studio? We have a cosy log cabin on site Ashley’s Shack. Stay over, bring your quilt top, and go home with a finished quilt and a relaxing break.
